Our Values

Manaakitanga - We add value, generously.

We lead by enhancing mana and adding value to everything we do, showing respect, generosity and hospitality. This drives both our behavior and decision making in business. Basically, if we don’t think we can add value, we won’t do it. If we do take work on, we are all in.

Aroha - We do this because we love it.

Our business is built on purpose and not just profit. We do this because we love it and we are good at it. We’re dreamers and believers but are also doers and achievers. We’re passionate about what we do and always aim to exceed expectations and overdeliver. We believe in what we do and commit to exploring our full potential. The key ingredient in our secret sauce is aroha.

Taonga tuku iho - We have each been given a gift and are committed to seeing it flourish.

We hold an unshakeable belief that we each have a unique gift within us capable of greatness. We’re passionate, creative and invested in exploring our gifts in service to others. We believe that with willingness, humility, passion, focus and intentional action - we can make just about anything come to life. We are committed to our growth.

Te Taumata Angitu - We give everything we do, everything we’ve got, and then some!

We didn’t name our business, One Twenty Legacy / Ignite Your Gift for nothing! We use our own gifts to create imact in the world and give everything we do 120%. We’re commited to exceeding expectations and going above and beyond for you, ourselves and each other. This is the attitude we want to inspire for our children, and their children, so we start by walking our talk. After all, we’re here to forge a legacy.

Toka Tu - This is our platform and our stand.

We stand strong and resolute in who we are but we also stand for change and transformation. We have a relentless sense of optimism and believe in a brave and better world. We believe in working hard but also working smart. Through our work we focus on serving the needs of our clients but we also use our platform to challenge the status quo for better by showcasing projects and gigs that build movements not campaigns. We’re courageous enough to stand out and stand up for what we believe in. We hope you are too. We take our work seriously, but not ourselves.

Kaitiakitanga - We are guardians of our unique gift, our people and our land.

We have a long term view of impact. We believe that it’s our responsibility to actively demonstrate guardianship of our unique gifts and use them to guide and care for people in a way that improves life for our future generations. Our perspective as guardians helps guide our training methods, advice, international engagement and activities. It also helps us to express what’s unique about us. Our uniqueness extends beyond ourselves and into the network and relationships we keep.

Aotearoa ki te ao - We are globally minded and locally focused.

We trade our time, expertise, assets, tools and merchandise locally, nationally and internationally for money, but at the end of the day, we believe relationships are everything! We’ve also come through struggle and hard times and understand that a simple act of ‘giving’ or ‘paying it forward’ to the community that supports us can change our world. Every year we accept two speaking engagements and contribute our time and expertise to charitable and non profit organisations free of cost. We are proud to be tangata whenua (the people of the land) and we are fortunate to call Aotearoa, New Zealand our founding home. We don’t that for granted.

Koha - We give world class content and quality education away. That’s our gift that keeps giving.

We believe in radical generosity, equity in education and good health and wellbeing. We also believe that knowledge should be shared, with a view of equal opportunities for leadership. Yes, we charge for our signature services but we also create tons of world class content and give it away under market value or free. From time to time we also award sponsorship to those in need and things we care about. Sometimes we raise funds for projects we think are smart, intriguing or have a great story and donate a portion of our hard earned cash back to community initiatives that fosters our Māori culture to thrive.
